I Am Alive, Just Busy

It is pretty unusual for me not to post more than a couple of days in a row, and I realize the last post I made was on Tuesday. Not to worry. I am alive and well, just busy. The day job has been unusually busy: I’ve given three presentations in the last 3 days with more to come next week. Also, I’m trying to get things wrapped up at work and at home for our upcoming vacation. We’ve got a birthday party for the Little Man this weekend, among other things. And I’ve been keeping up with my writing, not wanting to break my streak, which now stands at 113 consecutive days.

Yesterday was probably the worst of it. I didn’t sleep well the night before, had a day filled with meetings, was exhausted when I arrived home, and of course the kids chose yesterday evening to be a bit of a handful. We weathered through. In fact, despite my utter mental exhaustion, I added 600 words to my story, and continued my writing streak.

In any case, all is well and I just wanted to drop in and say hello. I’m still here. Just busy. How about you?
