What I Have Been Doing Today

I wanted today to be one of those lazy Saturday’s where I didn’t really have to do anything, but that was just wishful thinking. I tried to “sleep in” this morning, and the kids cooperated a little, allowing us to sleep in until almost 7am. Once I was up, I spent a few hours this morning putting together all of our tax stuff to send in to the accountant. Collecting all of the tax information was easy, since it’s all in Evernote1. Completing the “tax organizer” that our accountant provides that took most of the time.

Later on in the morning, we took the kids to a nearby park to let them burn a little energy.

I spent some time early this afternoon writing code, and doing some Mathematica work. (Regression analysis on some data sets. More on this in a future post) During this time I listened to more of Gerald’s Game. I actually spent more than 2-1/2 hours listening to the audio book today.

I’m about to get the kids through their evening routine and then I plan to do some more work on a story that I’ve been writing. The story has been going well these last couple of days and a new facet revealed itself while my mind wandered in the car earlier today.

What have you been up to today?

  1. Yes, I know Evernote was hacked. See the next post.
