Some mid-week notes to be aware of

A few items of interest to those who frequent here from time-to-time:

  1. I will be away beginning tomorrow. We have a wedding to attend this weekend and will be traveling up to New England. The wedding takes place in Newport, Rhode Island. Since I used to live in Warwick, RI, we’ll probably end up passing through my old neighborhood. In any case, it will be nice having a little break and spending an extended weekend with the whole family. I’ll be back in town on Monday, just in time to take the Little Man trick-or-treating. Thanks go out to our friend Leanna for keeping an eye on the house and cats while we are gone.
  2. The next Episode in my Vacation in the Golden Age (#26) will go up as scheduled on Sunday afternoon, despite the fact that I will be in the midst of a wedding ceremony at the time. I’ve kept ahead of my normal reading pace this week in order to finish up today. The post is nearly all written and just needs to be put together, and then scheduled. Look for it around 4pm on Sunday.
  3. I believe I will have some Internet access at the hotel, so I expect posts will continue through the weekend, although that will really depend on how full our days are. Even so, with well over 4,000 posts on this blog already, I’m sure you can find something of interest to read.
  4. If you are looking for something fun to do today, Juliette Wade will be hosting her weekly Worldbuilding Hangout on Google+ at 11am Pacific. Today’s topic will be on magic systems. If it wasn’t for the day job, I’d be there hanging out, too.

That’s all I’ve got at the moment. You may now continue with your regularly scheduled day.
