Friday the Thirteenth

When I woke up this morning I stepped out of bed with my left foot first. I realized that I’d dozed off with my hat on. There is glass all over the floor of the upstairs hallway bathroom*. The glue that held the mirror to the medicine cabinet wore out and the mirror fell off the wall and shattered into countless pieces on the bathroom floor. I’ll be cleaning that mess up later this evening. When I came downstairs, I passed beneath the ladder that I’d left in the hallway. When we headed out to the car, a black cat jumped across my path.

The day is off to a very good start.

*The mirror actually broke several days ago but I just haven’t had a chance to get it cleaned up yet.
