The June 1942 Astounding has arrived

The June 1942 Astounding arrived yesterday. This is one of two issues that has been particularly hard to locate, probably because it, and the May 1942 Astounding contain the first two FOUNDATION stories by Isaac Asimov. As you can see from the cover of this issue, it contains “Bridle and Saddle” which is the second FOUNDATION story. The May issue is now the only one I need to have a complete set of 1942.

At this point I have consecutive issues which will take us through September 11 (Episode 34 of my Vacation in the Golden Age). Once I have the May issue, the next gap will come November 13, Episode 42. Plenty of time to obtain 1943 issues and 9 of the 1944 issues that I am missing.
