Writing (and other routines)

Well, not much since the wedding.  But I’m hoping that will change soon.  This week, I plan to put the finishing touches on the story that came out of the Gunn writing workshop I participated in over the summer.  I’m hoping to have it in the mail by the end of the week.  (Before Thanksgiving if all goes well.)

I already have my next story in mind.  This one has a much bigger scope, in terms of story–it takes place in the exceedingly far future, something I’ve never before attempted.  I’ve got some good idea for where the story is going and my plan is to apply the ideas I learned in the workshop to this story, and see if I can’t have a draft completed by the end of the year.

(And congrats and whoo-hoos to fellow workshopper alaneer  on her recent story sale!)

Other routines:  After a long, long hibernation, I should be getting back to the gym after work today.  It’s been too long.  I feel out of shape.  It’s long overdue, and hopefully, it will stick again.  I plan on starting out slowly so as not to injure my aging self.  But I do plan to work back into a routine of 6 workouts a week.  And better eating habits, too.  We’ll see how that goes.
