Oh boy! I started reading Robert Silverberg’s Up the Line yesterday. While I’m only about 35 pages into the book, so far, I love it. I’ve only read 2 other books by Silverberg, Dying Inside, which is on my list of all-time favorites; and The World Inside, which I enjoyed enough to rate 4 stars (out of 5). Up the Line is not yet at the 5-star mark, but what I’ve read so far certainly competes with The World Inside and I’m eager to keep going. I love finding books like these, little gems that stir the imagination, especially on a theme as frequently done as time travel.
