It might as well be spring

Before a meeting today, someone was asking me why I’d moved here from California when the weather there is so nice. I tried to explain that you can’t appreciate good weather when you have it all the time. Spring is no fun when there really is no winter.

When I left the office this afternoon, it was overcast and 71 degrees. There was a strong breeze blowing from the south and carried on that breeze were the smells of spring. If you’ve never gone through a winter season, you won’t understand this. strausmouse might get it. vickyandnorm can understand. kruppenheimer just won’t get it I’m afraid.

It’s a wonderful smell, impossible to describe other than to say, yep, that’s spring all right.

Snow’s possible over the weekend.
