The shooting dream

Last night I had a dream that I was shot in the chest. I’m fairly certain I know what triggered the dream. While eating dinner, I watched the last episode of season three of The West Wing, where agent Simon Donovan is shot and killed while trying to stop an armed robbery.

The creepy part of the dream (aside from getting shot, I suppose), is the feeling afterward. Sitting there, waiting for someone to bring help, I had the exact same feeling that I had when I donated blood a few months back. I grew cold and sweaty. I could feel something draining from me. I grew lightheaded, and eventually, sleepy. It was very odd.

I don’t remember what happened after that, but I woke up and it was something like 1 AM.
