Workout #91 (Chest & back)

Up at 4:30 AM and into the gym just before 6 AM. Today was the first strength training workout I’ve done since April 12, and the first chest/back workout since April 10. April was a pretty bad month as far as workouts go, my worst since starting on this latest kick back in early December. I’m hoping that May is much better. In fact, my target for May is hitting the gym 26 out of 31 days.

Not quite a full strength workout, but 2/3rds of one. The truth is I got started a little late and felt a little sluggish so I went along at a slower pace and ran out of time. This bothered me but I guess after nearly 20 days without doing strength training, it will take me a little while to get back into the swing of things.

I’ve got cardio tomorrow morning and our first softball practice at lunch tomorrow afternoon, so I’ll get to see first-hand if the last 5 months worth of training has paid off in that respect.
