Ravencon 2007

I decided this evening that I will go to Ravencon 2007 this Saturday. It will be the first science fiction convention I’ve ever attended. Robert J. Sawyer is Guest of Honor and I’d like to meet him. And Edmund Schubert, who bought my story, “When I Kissed the Learned Astronomer”, will be there too and I’d like to meet him in person.

What decided me was the fact that the drive down to Richmond, Virginia is only 2 hours (I thought it was more.) I can be down there before 10 AM, spend the day there, attend all of the session that I want to attend, and be home before 8 PM. No train costs, no hotel costs.

Richmond, Virginia, here I come!
