Workout #49

Up at 4:30 AM and there was about an inch of snow on the ground. Fortunately, it was cold enough that the snow was not wet, and it was easy to scrape off the car when I went out to warm the car up. My regular train was delayed by about 4 minutes, but I was still into the gym before 6 AM.

40 minutes on the elliptical this morning. I burned 554 calories, went a distance of 2.97 miles and reached a peak RPM of 85 (no sprints today). My pace was between 80 RPM. After cardio, I did a brief lower body set in prep for my workout tomorrow.

Group 1 1st Set 2nd Set 3rd Set
------- ------- ------- -------
Angled, seated calf 12/120 12/120 12/140

The reason for the abbreviated set was that while I was on the elliptical, I came up with a solution a potential solution to the one remaining bug in an application we are rolling out in early March. The more I thought about the solution, the more anxious I became to get into the office and try it out. So I decide to cut the lower body group short so I could get here a few minutes earlier than normal and see if my solution works.

Tomorrow’s workout is at 4 PM with Bernard.
