Workout #41 (Lower body w/Bernard)

This afternoon was one of my toughest workouts ever. Bernard stepped it up a notch. It started with my <sarcasm>favorite</sarcasm> and only got worse tougher from there.

Seated calf raises 15/45 15/55 15/55
Crunches 20LR 20LR 20LR

Group was asterisked because of the way in which each set was done. It started innocently enough with a set of seated leg curls at 90 lbs, which is what I usually start at. As soon as I finished, without pause, I had to pick up the dumb bells and do the 22 walked lunges (across the gym, basically). Then as soon as put them down, I had to get on the stationary bike and ride for 2 minutes. 15 seconds at a low level, 15 seconds at a high level, until the two minutes was up. Then it was back across the gym with the lunges. Then I could finally take a short break, before we repeated it all two more times. I felt wiped out!

My left hamstring is a little sore right now too, but I imagine most of that will be gone in the morning. If nothing else, I should sleep well tonight. Next workout is first thing tomorrow morning.
