Good writing session

I sat down at 9 PM to get started in earnest on my new story, “The Graveyard” shift, and I ended up writing the first two sections, 1,500 words in an hour and a half. And it felt pretty good. I’ve outlined something like 16 sections to the story, an assuming they are all roughtly the same length, it confirms my suspicions that this will be one of the longers stories I’ve written in quite some time. It’s all first draft quality, but so far, the flow feels good and the story is unfolding. I always enjoy writing stories like this because once I’ve worked out where the story is going, it’s almost as though I become an audience, watching the story unfold before my eyes.

In any event, it’s 10:30 PM now and I’ve got a pretty busy day at work tomorrow.
