		<description>“There Shall Be Darkness” is barely SF. It is a straight historical tale of the Roman legions withdrawing from Britannia with some spaceships and ray guns plastered over the framework to make it marketable to Campbell. 

And this is not the first time Catherine would do this. 

At the tail end of your vacation, there is a honest to God Bat Durston (Barry Malzberg can explain the reference) by Lawrence O&#039;Donnell which is nothing more than a Western transpanted to space.</description>
