Back to work

Today was one of those days where I couldn’t focus as much asI’d have liked to.  The work day passed slowly and despite having no meetings, I didn’t make as much progress as I hoped.

This evening, I finished reading Adrift, which was just a remarkable survival story.  It’s incredible what Callahan went through in his 76 days in a raft out at sea.  The book was very well written and thoughtful, and I really enjoyed reading it.  Next up is Frederik Pohl‘s The Way the Future Was.  I went to the library today and checked out Journey to the Center of the Earth, which will follow Pohl’s book.  I remember reading an abridged version of Jules Verne’s book which I was a kid, and I was completely engrossed by it.  I’m looking forward to reading the complete story.

The latest NEW SCIENTIST arrived in the mail today and I’m going to head off to bed reading that.  Also got a bill from one of the doctors which I’ll pay later in the week.

Kelly is at her book club this evening.  I may be in bed before she gets home.
